Midnight Mountain Rain 12x16in oil painting by Rachel Brask

This painting was created as a demo painting during an open studios event, and the artist was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. This painting in deep blues and purples was originally created to experiment with the gradation of faraway blue mountains into nearby purple ones of descending nightfall, in the rain, but the final result is more a play of color blending and drips. 

This original oil painting is painted on all outer edges of a 1.5 inch profile canvas, signed by artist Rachel Brask, and is available for purchase. Painting comes with hanging wire affixed to back of canvas. This original hand-painted canvas also contains a uniquely textured surface where some of the "rain drips" dried in place
