Painting Plein Air under big skies

In June, Rachel Brask participated in painting plein air several paintings around the big skies of Montana. The three paintings were painted on location using her plein air paint box pochade, and each painting started as the usual pointilism and then received the “rainfall” treatment that is essentially signature to Brask’s style of distorting landscapes using stand oil and drips to make it appear like a foggy, rainy window view beyond. Of the three paintings created, all are 12x12 inches, and framed and will be on view as part of the plein air exhibition June 28 - July 31, 2025.
